Monitoring

We can only improve what we measure. In Data Centers, it is critical to constantly monitor the status, adequacy, and changes in the various resources. Measurements can be used to generate the critical alerts to trigger the necessary corrective actions. Continuous monitoring can be used to predict expansion needs.

DCI’s versatile monitoring options provide a holistic view of Data Centers and ensure functionality now and in the future.

Electricity metering system with wireless connectivity

It is important to monitor the quality and energy consumption of the electricity supply to the Data Center. With Packet Power, this can be done from a single server up to the entire Data Center level, and in several locations.

Metering is based Smart Power Cables or meters that can be integrated with other equipment. Packet Power meters can be in switch boards, tap off units and PDUs.

Data transmission from the meters is based on a wireless mesh network and no separate cabling to the meters is required.

Data management is possible with EMX application, in which alarms can be generated. Alternatively, data can be transferred to a third-party system using standard protocols.

Environmental monitoring

Continuous measurement of temperatures and humidity is essential in the Data Center. It is recommended that temperatures are measured at different levels of all racks to avoid thermal concentrations.

The Ramos system can be used to implement comprehensive monitoring of the entire Data Center, generate alarms for the operators in case of anomalies and collect historical data.

DCIM software

DCIM software provides a holistic view of the Data Center and brings all the data from different systems together in one place. Alarms and monitoring of technical systems can be easily managed. Continuous measurement of energy use and reporting on energy efficiency is part of the system
